Refund / Cancellation Policy:
Since our business is providing managed hosting services, which involves a significant amount of time on the part of our team to install and configure your chosen scripts, we do not offer refunds on the unused portion of prepaid hosting plans. We spend a considerable amount of time setting up your account and customizing a person's website to meet all their needs.
That being said, we promptly honor all cancellation requests. To cancel your hosting plan, please e-mail us with your PayPal Subscription ID, or find the 'Cancel Subscription' link in your PayPal account. Cancellations will become effective at the end of your prepaid hosting plan term.
If you purchase a 2- or 3-year plan, you are eligible for a full, pro-rated refund of your unused service starting on the first day of the second year. Or, you can choose at any time to transfer your hosting to a different domain name of your choosing, and we will transfer your site over free of charge.
Acceptable Use Policy:
Use of OfficialWebHosting.com's services for any activity that violates any local, state, federal or international law, order or regulation is a violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, and will be grounds for immediate account termination. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Posting or disseminating any material which is unlawful (such as child pornography or otherwise obscene material).
- Posting or disseminating adult-themed pornographic material. If you want to run a site like that, there are plenty of other hosts out there who would rent you the space to do it, but if your site is decently big you'll want a virtual private server or maybe even your own server regardless. Our hosting packages are geared towards those customers who use hosting for their small websites only.
- Disseminating material that violates the copyright or other intellectual property rights of others.
- Pyramid, ponzi, cash gifting, or other illegal soliciting schemes.
- Any fraudulent activities, including impersonating any person or entity.
- Use or distribution of tools designed for compromising security, such as password guessing programs, cracking tools, packet sniffers or network probing tools
- And most importantly... sending SPAM or unsolicited e-mail of any kind is strictly prohibited. Newsletters or promotional advertisements sent from OfficialWebHosting.com's servers may only be sent to 'double opt-in' subscribers - no exceptions. The reason we have to be firm on this policy is because even one spam complaint - whether you considered it spam or not - could get our entire server blacklisted, affecting everyone else on the network whose legitimate e-mails don't get delivered anymore.
- If one of the datacenter technicians has to spend more than one hour diagnosing and solving a problem caused by a violation of these terms - whether intentional or not - we reserve the right to assess a fine of no greater than $150 an hour and/or terminate your account with us, at our discretion. We will, however, provide as much advance notice as possible via e-mail and phone before taking the step of terminating service so we can hear and consider your side of the story first.
You may not disrupt OfficialWebHosting.com's Services. Our services may also not be used to interfere with computer networking or telecommunications services to any user, host or network, including, without limitation, denial of service attacks, flooding of a network, overloading a service, improper seizing and abuse of operator privileges and attempts to "crash" a host.
The transmission or dissemination of any information or software which contains a virus or other harmful feature also is prohibited. You are solely responsible for the security of any device you choose to connect to our services, including any data stored on that device. OfficialWebHosting.com's recommends that any files or services you do choose to make available for remote access be protected with a strong password or as otherwise appropriate.
Terms of Use:
By purchasing web hosting services from OfficialWebHosting.com, buyer agrees to the following:
- We reserve the right to disable any customer's website on the server for violating the acceptable use policy.
- Data storage utilized in excess of the limits of your chosen hosting plan will be billed at the rate of $10 per GB, per month. Bandwidth (traffic) utilized in excess of the limits of your chosen hosting plan will be billed at the rate of $2 per GB, per month.
- Buyer agrees to the entirety of this document, and by ordering website hosting services from OfficialWebHosting.com, has indicated reading the full agreement, and that his or her electronic purchase order for website hosting services consistitutes a digital signature and acceptance of these terms.
